MARAD FOIA officials miss February 9 deadline for Appeal Response
The deadline for MARAD to respond to my final FOIA appeal submitted on January 9 has come and gone with no response from the agency. See the post from January 15 for more details on the appeal and a link to the argument I submitted. I have sent an inquiry to MARAD officials asking them when they plan on responding. Yesterday was a holiday and today, a snow day. However, last week was business as usual in Washington, DC, so there is no excuse for not meeting the deadline on time, But then again, that may very well BE the excuse: yes, indeed, business as usual...
